Trio of Samsung smartphones revealed

Samsung has pulled back the curtains on three new handsets this week, all of which will join the ever-growing range of Galaxy smartphones.
The Galaxy Fit, Gio and Mini have been unearthed in a torrent of information, ahead of the Mobile World Congress even in Barcelona next month, so a quick overview of each is sensible.
The Galaxy Mini lives up to its name, featuring a 3.1 inch touchscreen which is small for the modern market and a three megapixel camera. It runs Android 2.2 and has a 600MHz processor which is not lightning quick, but should be enough to keep things ticking over nicely.
The Galaxy Gio is a little larger than the Mini with a 3.2 inch touchscreen display. It also runs Android 2.2 and has a beefier 800MHz processor, which should make it a little bit more responsive.
The Galaxy Fit is one more step up the scale in terms of display size, sporting as it does a 3.3 inch screen. Oddly it features the same 600MHz processor as the Galaxy Mini, despite its increased size, but you do get a five megapixel camera which will round out the package nicely.
These three new Galaxy range handsets have clearly been inspired since the original Galaxy S sold by the bucketload and Samsung is hoping to piggyback on its success.
The Galaxy Ace was also revealed this week, albeit after Samsung Indonesia accidentally published a web page containing details about this mid-range handset online. It, too, will be an Android 2.2 smartphone but with a 3.5 inch screen, is it considerably larger than these other new arrivals and will look almost identical to the Galaxy S, albeit in a smaller form.
Expect full details of these new Samsung handsets to emerge at Mobile World Congress.
