Eco-Friendly New iPhone Made Using Recycled Materials Launched

Apple has pulled back the curtains on the all-new iPhone SE, bringing with it a raft of eco-friendly design features which aim to improve the green credentials of a range that has had a mixed relationship with sustainability in the past.
One of the most important aspects of the SE’s design is that it makes use of materials which are either partly or entirely recycled. From the solder which is used on the motherboard to the rare components found in its vibration motor, a whole host of recycled materials can be encountered under the sleek exterior of the phone.
Furthermore, a lot of the plastic elements are made from other plastic items which have been processed and prepared for reuse.
Apple has aimed to be as transparent as possible about the iPhone SE’s sustainability and impact on the environment, publishing an official report on this matter to put customers who are conscious of their need to buy responsibly at ease.
While the iPhone SE has been praised for its hardware features and pricing, it is also worth noting that repair experts at iFixit gave the handset just 6 out of 10 on their scale of how simple and affordable it is for people to fix themselves. The good news is that Apple has made its own official repair services more affordable, especially with regards to things like battery replacement.
As with other devices in Apple’s line-up, the iPhone SE can be recycled further down the line so that its components can re-enter circulation and be repurposed, resold or processed for future manufacturing needs.
Apple has definitely cleaned up its act in the last decade, and there is an argument to say that the iPhone SE is its greenest phone yet to be released.
