Sony to release 4G smartphone in Europe next month

The Sony Xperia V may finally be winging its way to European countries in December, according to sources quoted by Mobile Review.
What makes the Xperia V particularly interesting is the fact that it will sport a built-in 4G LTE antenna, which means it will be able to take advantage of the recently launched 4G network coverage, that is currently available in 11 cities in the UK.
The Xperia V will apparently hit Russia first, before potentially arriving in France and Sweden further down the line.
Sony is taking the view that it will bring the Xperia V to any country that has a satisfactory level of demand for the device, so the UK might be next on its hit list.
In terms of specification, it is not quite up there with the range-topping Xperia T, since it has a 4.3 inch 720p screen, a dual core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and a gigabyte of RAM to round things off.
The 13 megapixel primary camera should give it a boost when compared with its lowly eight megapixel-toting rivals, while the inclusion of an NFC chip will satisfy those who want to make contactless payments with their smartphone.
The real selling point will of course be its 4G compatibility, so hopefully, network provider EE will offer it to customers alongside the costlier alternatives like the iPhone 5.
Sony has made the Xperia V durable in spite of its high end features, so it should resist dust and even dunks in liquid, which is unusual and definitely useful.
Hard wearing handsets are desirable not only because they mean that you are less likely to damage your phone, but also because it will be in good working order at the end of your contract, allowing you to sell it for a decent sum via an online mobile recycling company.
