Samsung reveals bargain price Galaxy Young

Samsung is no stranger to the affordable end of the smartphone market, so it is no surprise to see it launching yet another cost efficient device to tempt users on a budget.
The Galaxy Young is intended to slip in just below the Galaxy Flame, although its low price is not necessarily an indication of any particular deficit in quality.
It is a compact, chunky smartphone with a 3.25 inch touchscreen display and some appealing silver detailing around the edge, even if it does feel relatively light and plasticy in the hand.
Onboard a 1GHz single core processor does all the hard work and while performance is not at the top of the class, it is far from being the village idiot.
The biggest selling point of the Galaxy Young is its inclusion of Android Jelly Bean, which means you can experience Google's latest mobile operating system, without having to shell out for a premium handset.
What could give the Galaxy Young a bit of grief at the bottom of the market is the Nokia Lumia 520, which is only a little more expensive and manages to be a much smoother operator, thanks to its dual core processor.
Of course, Samsung is going to be fighting back at the top end of the market this month, as it confirmed yesterday that the flagship Galaxy S4 handset will be releasing on March 14th.
A major event held in New York's Times Square will be the first time that the Galaxy S4 has appeared in public, although various leaks have all but confirmed some of its major features.
Chief amongst these is an anticipated five inch touchscreen that will sport a full HD resolution, to put the iPhone 5's Retina Display to shame with its 441ppi rating.
