New BlackBerry Smartphone Could Encourage Spate of Early Recycling

Further news about BlackBerry's next flagship smartphone has emerged this week, suggesting that there may be a number of customers who are looking to sell their old handsets in order to upgrade.
Back in January the BlackBerry Z10 was unveiled, heralding a new era for the company as it looked to shrug off its older operating system in favour of a fresh new one. But the Z10's honeymoon period was short lived, as it soon became apparent that its hardware components looked thoroughly average when compared to high end Android rivals like the Sony Xperia Z and Samsung Galaxy S3.
The problem is that the Z10's 4.2 inch display and dual core processor are not quite in the same league as the five-inch screens and quad core chips that define its biggest competitors. This could partly be solved following the release of the BlackBerry Z30, which was previously known as the A10 during earlier rumours of its specifications. CrackBerry published new images showcasing the phone, as well as a number of leaked videos which appear to be instructional in nature and detail elements of the interface, hardware and media capabilities.
The Z30 will feature a five-inch touchscreen display, putting it on a par with the Galaxy S3 in terms of the amount of space that it offers. The 720p resolution will be maintained, perhaps making it a little less desirable than the 1080p panels of the Android alternatives. The Z30 should use a dual core processor with a decent 1.7GHz clock speed, as well as the most up to date version of the BB 10 operating system.
This might be the smartphone that BlackBerry fans have been waiting for, so those who opted for the Z10 earlier in the year only to be disappointed might want to sell their old phone so that they can upgrade to the Z30.
