Lincolnshire to receive new 5 million recycling centre

A new facility costing 5 million has just been given the go ahead in Lincolnshire, with an eco-entrepreneur setting out to create something truly sustainable in the countryside.
The centre is set to be built on an area which used to house a now defunct pig farm and will encompass everything from recycling to aquaculture, according to This Is Grimsby.
Owner, Steve Clark, has already proven that he has the ability to create sustainable businesses in Lincolnshire and he is hoping that his latest project will make the biggest impact on the area.
Over the next five years up to 35 jobs will be created by this recycling centre and there are also plans to use it to farm marine animals, which can help to diversify the sources of revenue for the project.
Mr Clark explained that at the moment, there are few facilities available to local households and businesses which want to dispose of their waste in a sustainable way, which is a problem he hopes his business will be able to address.
He also said that the site on which the recycling business is going to be built is in a state of disrepair at the moment, so a lot of work will be required to bring it up to scratch.
100,000 was provided by the local council in the form of a grant, which allowed him to purchase the site. Work has been going on for the best part of a year and formal applications to build on the former farm will be made in due course, according to Mr Clark.
It is good to see the entrepreneurial spirit applied to eco-friendly businesses, because this obviously bodes well for Lincolnshire and the rest of the UK as a whole.
