LG Fantasy snapped

LG is getting ready to reveal its latest Windows Phone handset in early 2012, according to leaked images and details acquired by the XDA Developers Forum.
Although only a few scant pieces of information were made available, it seems that the LG Fantasy smartphone will feature a four inch display and will run the latest version of Microsoft's Windows Phone platform, namely 7.5.
With both the Consumer Electronics Show and the Mobile World Conference planned to take place in the first two months of 2012, it is likely that the LG Fantasy will be just one of the major mobiles to make an appearance in the coming weeks.
LG launched the Optimus 7 handset to coincide with the release of Windows Phone 7 back in October of 2010 and the Fantasy looks to be the first true successor to this well received original.
Although not much is known about the Fantasy's specifications, it is not that difficult to guess at them, given that Microsoft has strict minimum requirements for mobiles which aspire to run Windows Phone 7.
Both the Nokia Lumia 800 and HTC Titan have come with fast single core processors clocked at a minimum of 1.4GHz. These two models have been specifically designed to make the most of Windows Phone 7.5 and so it would not be unreasonable to assume that the LG Fantasy would be similarly specified when it comes to hardware.
The Fantasy should also have a decent camera and an eight megapixel snapper would be ideal if it wants to be competitive with the frontrunners on the market at the moment, although Windows Phone handsets are only required to have five megapixel sensors, so nothing is certain.
The early part of the year is always a good time to sell your old mobile phone in preparation for the flush of new mobiles which are launched.
