HTC Sensation XE appears

HTC is releasing a brand new smartphone called the Sensation XE, taking the core components of the original handset and putting a firmer emphasis on creating a top notch audio playback experience.
The Sensation XE will run a dual core processor that has been ramped up to operate at 1.5GHz, outpacing the 1.2GHz chip of its predecessor.
It will retain the 4.3 inch LCD display but will feature a few elements of red detailing to give it a unique look.
What will capture the most attention is the fact that it is packaged with Beats ear buds. This is the headphone range endorsed by superstar rapper and producer Dr Dre, known for its superb quality audio reproduction.
The new processor will obviously be a little more power hungry than other smartphones and so HTC has promised that the Sensation XE will benefit from a beefed-up battery to make sure it does not run out of juice too quickly.
Fans of the original Sensation will not have to wait long to get their hands on its follow-up, with HTC asserting that the XE edition will be made available in the UK before the end of the month.
With Android 2.3 onboard and a hardware package that will put it at the top of the tree in terms of performance, there is little doubt that the Sensation XE will be a sought-after smartphone.
While the Beats certification and bundled headphones may not be to everyone's taste, the Sensation XE might actually draw in a younger generation of buyer to the top end of the smartphone market.
Buying Beats headgear can set you back hundreds of pounds but if you can get it free on a monthly contract with the Sensation XE, then there might be more reason to sell your old mobile phone and upgrade.
