Android 3.0 to feature advanced music synchronisation feature

Google is adding many features to Android with the impending arrival of version 3.0 and the latest rumour suggest that enhanced music syncing will be a possibility from within the media player.
Online leaks of the music software suggest that Android 3.0 will come with an all-purpose music sync button which will, presumably, pull in tracks from your own library and hopefully from other services which are used.
People with smartphones running Android 2.3 have been playing with the 3.0 media player and, according to Android Community, it will use some kind of cloud-based platform for streaming and music downloads, potentially giving Android mobiles an equivalent of iTunes.
Android has never had an acclaimed native media player, although various app developers have come up with their own third party alternatives. It looks like Google will finally be addressing this issue when Android 3.0 lands.
In other mobile music news, Finnish phone manufacturer Nokia is ditching its Ovi Music Unlimited service, previously known as Comes with Music.
A leaked memo acquired by Esphoneblog seems to suggest that Nokia will not be producing any more handsets which come with subscriptions to the Ovi Music service with unlimited music track downloads available to the owner.
Those who are already onboard with the scheme will be able to run out their contracts but will be unable to renew them after they come to an end.
The Ovi Music Unlimited service is over two years old but it never managed to capture the imagination of the mobile buying public. Nokia also encountered issues relating to mobile pricing and a clunky interface for downloading and sharing between phones and PCs.
Nokia has yet to confirm that this report is true, but it would seem to be a likely route for it to take.
