Affordable Samsung Galaxy M Style unveiled

Samsung has created what could be the world's first mid-range smartphone to sport a Super AMOLED display in the form of the Galaxy M Style.
This screen technology, which was previously only found on its higher end handsets like the Galaxy S range and the Omnia 7, will be a feature of the Galaxy M Style, which arrived in South Korea earlier in the week.
The rest of the Galaxy M Style's specifications suggest that it could be a modestly priced handset if it ever makes it over to the UK.
The four inch Super AMOLED screen is complimented by a 1GHz single core processor, a three megapixel camera with no flash and Android version 2.3, otherwise known as Gingerbread.
The Galaxy M Style is ironically not the most attractive phone on the market, but the early press shots suggest that it will feature a white bezel around the screen and a brushed metal finish on the rear.
The Galaxy M Style seems oddly familiar when you examine the specifications and could be the natural successor to the original Samsung Galaxy S, which sold more than 10 million units back in 2010. However, nearly two years after its launch we are living in an age when 1GHz processors are considered to be middle of the road, while dual and soon quad core handsets rule the roost.
If your Galaxy S is starting to look a little bashed and bruised after two years of solid use then you could always sell your old mobile phone and replace it with what is, essentially, the same handset at a more moderate price point.
Of course you might also be waiting for the Samsung Galaxy SIII to be revealed in the coming weeks, in which case the mid range nature of the Galaxy M Style may not be to your tastes.
