64GB iPhone 4 spotted in prototype form

Many current iPhone 4 owners who have reached the limits of their handset's storage could be selling their existing mobiles in order to prepare for the launch of a 64GB edition of Apple's popular handset, which has appeared in spyshots this week.
The leak came from within hardware manufacturer Foxconn, which creates most of the internal gizmos for the iPhone 4.
In the images acquired by MIC Gadget, it looks like a prototype version of the iPhone 4 with an expanded 64GB of storage space is being developed.
With 64GB of storage space it would have double the capacity of the current top of the range model. The original iPad was offered with 64GB of storage onboard and many had hoped that the iPhone 4 would launch with this as an option, because there is no microSD memory card slot available to help users augment the built-in memory.
Of course it is worth noting that although it looks like the device shown in the leaked images is an iPhone 4, there is a chance that 64GB of storage space will be held from the market until the launch of the iPhone 5 in the summer.
One observer noted that the prototype shown does not possess the distinctive antenna band around the outside, which could imply any number of things. It could perhaps confirm recent rumours that Apple is looking to integrate the antenna into its logo on the rear for the next iPhone, rather than seeing a repeat of the antenna issues which plague the current model.
Any news about new iPhone technology is enough to get users excited and the idea of having twice as much storage space will be welcomed by media junkies and people who run their lives from their smartphones.
